covet this: Eryn brinié
Heavily influenced by French-chic and urban flair, Eryn brinié offers a collection which merges natural chic and modern sensibility. A South-Korean brand with 30 stores in Korea & China, Eryn brinié is making a fashion splash with it’s Soho launch. TopShop and H&M, step aside. I heard the opening was MOBBED.
The clothing is decidedly wallet-friendly (most of the clothing & accessories are priced at $50-$150), and while the brand is frequently compared to TopShop, I found the clothing to strike a daring balance between ethereal and practically. You’ll find whimsical beaded dresses, dip-dyed cardigans, flowing cotton tunics, Kooba-style leather purses (in metallics), and chic, cropped blazers. The palate is pale (mauves, greys, soft blues) with an occasional shock of emerald green and cobalt blue. And compared to H&M, where the lines are sub-par in terms of quality (too many acrylics for my taste), you’ll like Brinié because the clothes look & FEEL expensive but are not.
There were so many covet-worthy items, however, I left with a crepe sleeveless dress with a beaded-bodice and a grey, chain-linked leather hobo.
Already praised by Lucky & New York magazines, after my visit to the new shop, assisted by helpful, yet not-annoying sales girls, this shop is definitely on the perennials list. Location: 501 Broadway, NYC.

Hi Felicia! I haven’t been on for ages so I have been happily curled up catching up on you! I had to say that I love your covet this posts - they make me smile - covet is a great term! I’m off to see if these clothes are at Top Shop over here too - have you been to the flagship store in London? Ooh so good!! It was good catching up with you!

Megg - great to hear from you!! Just to clarify, Eryn brinié isn’t actually in TopShop, they have their own stores competing with TopShop
