Get this Look: Eva Mendes
If anyone were to ask me to define my style, it would be this photograph of Eva Mendes (minus the sunnies): tailored, classic items in black & grey, lux scarves and impeccable shoes. Head to toe, this is a covet-worthy outfit. Although I don’t have a clue who styled Eva or what’s she’s wearing, the look is easy to copy on both ends of the price spectrum. So here are my suggestions. If you’ve got any other recommends, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment!
For the Sweater:
Vince’s Banded Bust Square Neck Cashmere Sweater, Brunello Cucinelli’s Cashmere English Rib Sweater, Hayden’s Cashmere crewneck, and The Row’s Saddle Shoulder Tee. You can also find quality cashmere at Lands End and L.L. Bean (note: Although J. Crew has great cashmere, I am boycotting the store because of poor customer service and an overall decline in the quality of their line).
**Where I Shop for Cashmere: TSE, Banana Republic, Malo, Rebecca Taylor.
For the Scarf:
Banana Republic’s Cashmere wrap. You can also find incredibly affordable pashmina scarves at The Pashmina Store.
**Where I Shop for Scarves: Loro Piana, pashmina boutiques
For the Skirt:
Piazza Sempione’s Box Pleat Skirt, Vince’s Felted Dirndl Skirt, Banana Republic’s Textured A-line skirt, and Kohl’s Simply Vera Vera Wang Skirt ($30.80!!!)
For the Shoes:
Christian Louboutin’s Mody Blue Nude Pump, Cole Haan’s Fiona pump, or the Carma pump if you like a more rounded heel, and Pedro Garcia’s Nicki satin pumps. I also adore Banana Republic’s Bernadette Bootie (if you want to play it safe and go the black route with the volume turned up, but don’t get me started on the brilliance that is the bootie because that is a whole other post), and YSL’s Nicole Pump.
For the Handbag:
Cole Haan’s Village Convertible Tote, Louis Vuitton’s Epi Leather Passy GM, Salvatore Ferragamo’s Gancio Deerskin Satchel, Banana Republic’s Wilshire tote (On Sale!!), and Rebecca Minkoff’s Market Bag in Night Black.

Hi Felicia,
yes, a pretty, classic look.
glad you are boycotting J. Crew. They treat their employees like garbage. Had a temp job for them as secretary and they didn’t want me to take a 10 minute break the whole day.

I love this look and I can totally see you in it! Her nude pumps make it all different too!

what a fab blog you have here, felicia! couldn’t agree with you more - love the eve mendes look, and love your picks to recreate it. and i agree - jcrew is definitely starting to annoy me. more expensive every year, and i don’t see the quality changing at all.
the nude pumps do make the ensemble…i know louboutin has a version that’s amazing, but also $600

Thanks for the blog love!! I think even the Loub version is not in season. I want to hunt down these Sigerson Morrison shoes, which are a few seasons old.
