My favorite episode is where Sam Jones meets Sam Jones.
May 31st, 2008 at 5:26 am
My favorite is the episode where they pick up everyone in the cab to advise Charlotte about the delicate politics of the back door question — and then the cab gets rear-ended! I also really liked the episode where Miranda learned how to talk dirty and then went too far.
I was always disappointed that Berger turned out to be such an ass. He had such potential…
I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I do have every single episode on DVD. The series got me through the first months after my divorce…awwww

My favorite episode is when Carrie goes to Big’s and finds his apartment all packed up - and he tells her he is moving to Napa. And their big night out on the town ends with Carrie being with Miranda when Brady is born. She goes back to his place to say goodbye, but he has already gone. But has left her an airline ticket…..
May 31st, 2008 at 10:42 pm
I love the one where Harry proposes to Charlotte “nothing left, but the baldies and the fatties…I’m totally coming back next week.” Other faves- Steve and Miranda declare their love for each other at Brody’s birthday (the look on Magda’s face) and the one where Miranda pours liquid soap gel all over the chocolate cake she can’t stop eating (even out of the trash). Sigh, I heart this show.

I don’t want to be entered into the contest, but I wanted to share this. My favorite bit of dialogue from any episode is when Carrie is dating a jazz musician, and the first time that the musician calls her (on the night they have met), “Big” calls on the other line. I don’t remember the exchange verbatim, but when Carrie switches to the other line to pick up “Big”’s call and tells him she can’t talk now, Big asks her if she is talking to someone on the other line. Carrie replies something like, “Yes, in fact, I am.”
Now, the amusing part to me is Big’s reply at just this point, which I DO recall verbatim (not surprising, given that it is only one word): “Porkpie?”
Throughout the entire episode “Big” continues to make fun of this guy by calling him “Porkpie.” It tickles my funny bone.

Quickly posting….would love, LOVE a copy!
Thanks for sharing the wealth!

Pick me, pick me! I’m a HUGE fan of SATC (have all episodes on DVD), am a writer, and my name is CARRIE! C’mon! It’s perfect!
Just saw the movie last night, it did not disappoint! I took a couple tissue, wish I’d taken a box. Laughed, cried, smiled and cursed all the way through - just like with the series. Took 2 big fans plus a newbie, the newbie loved it just as much as we did, that’s saying something.
Favorite all time line from the series, when the girls are talking at the coffee shop talking about sexual favors, and Carrie says, “Well, it’s not my favorite thing on the menu, but I’ll order if from time to time.”
June 2nd, 2008 at 11:22 am
Loved the show about Carrie’s book party. The show starts out with a voice over saying something like…”It’s the day all young girls dream about…” You think Carrie is describing a wedding; turns out to be her book party.
June 2nd, 2008 at 10:43 pm
My favorite episode is “A Girl’s Right to Shoes.” It’s the one where Tatum O’Neal starred, and made Carrie leave her shoes by the door and then she lost them at the end of the night. I’m not making it sounds exciting, I know, but it’s a great episode and it makes me feel it’s okay to be single.

SATC THE MOVIE!
What a great ending to this fabulous series! What more could a woman ask for than fashion and sex!
I absolutely loved the movie! I could not believe all the beautiful clothes that were featured in the film. I could not take my eyes off those stunning black Dior heel that Carrie wore a couple of times neither. My favorite scene had to be when Carrie yelled at Big and hit him with her bouquet because she was so upset with him. It was just so powerful and I’m sure everyone could feel the emotion there. Also, that amazing closet he built for her?! What a dream! Hope to be luckily picked for that book!
Thanks!

I certainly can’t choose my fave episode because I love it all!! I can’t wait to see the movie!! Hope I win this book!! Thanks for the chance!
June 4th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Oh no, it’s June 4, does that mean it’s finished?
Anyway one of my favorite episodes is when Miranda and Steve get back together in the laundry room. IT was brady’s first birthday. The theme of that episode was “ONE” and I just thought it was cleverly written.
June 4th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Nope! I just extended the contest! You now have up to Friday to enter!
June 4th, 2008 at 5:21 pm
Pick *A* favorite episode?! I’d have trouble picking a favorite season! I haven’t yet seen the movie but it’s on tap for this weekend..when ALL the girlfriends were available. I do suppose my favorite episode is when Samantha’s hair was falling out and she went to the premiere in the pink wig (with her newly bald boyfriend)…I would love to have cojones that big! (Or should I say BIG).
Cheers!

My favorite outfit ever on the series, which made a cameo on the film (I literally yelped in the theatre when I saw it) was the pink Jill Stuart ruffled strapless dress that Carrie wears to tell off Big in An American Girl…part une. When Carrie is cleaning out her closet in the movie, she flings it back at the camera—my God, such a beautiful dress on her!!!Please enter me in the contest!
June 5th, 2008 at 11:08 am
my very first taste of SATC was “The Real Me,” where Carrie was asked to walk the runway for dolce and gabbana. and dont’ forget the memorable Samantha moment where she had a nude photoshoot to remember her hot body! haha.
June 5th, 2008 at 12:02 pm
I absolutely love the Vivienne Westwood suit from the Vogue episode when she attempts to write her first review and is shot down by Enid and picked up by Julian. Vivienne Westwood strikes again with her gorgeous wedding dress from the movie, it’s amazing, she is definitely one of my favorite designers.
June 5th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
When I was first introduced to the show many years ago, I wasn’t interested. I thought it was superficial and degraded women. After the urging of some of my friends to give it another chance, I sat and watched through several episodes. I found myself reaching for the tissues and sniffling as Carrie agonized about Big/Aidan and the girls went through their difficulties and trials together. The most poignant element of the show was not the men, but the beautiful friendships.
My favorite episode is the one where it’s Carrie’s birthday, and no one shows up, but at the end, Charlotte suggests they be each other’s soul mates. I also love the relationship between Steve and Miranda because it shows how one person can change someone’s attitude so drastically. I love how he respected her independence but wanted to do anything for her. The episode where they first meet- and how she runs out of “Denial”- still gets me every time. The episode called “One,” where they realize their love for each other was also amazing. And the season finale- where Magda tells Miranda, “What you did in there- that’s love.” still brings tears to my eyes!
I think this show was so revolutionary because it empowered women but also showed the heartache, difficult decisions, and humbling experiences that women endure. I miss this show and its smart writing. Cheers to SATC!
June 5th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
My fave episode is the one about the Rabbit and the intervention to get Charlotte to leave the house. Ha!
June 5th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
Loved the movie. I am going to see it for a second time this weekend.
June 5th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
My Fav is I’m Sufferin’ in Suffern when Carrie goes “upstate”…
I’m going to see the movie tonight and I can’t wait! I hope I win the book I’m such a big fan of all the clothing artistry I would love to have a reference manual!!!
June 5th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
My favourite episode is the finale actually because it wraps things up so well and everyone seems to have come so far from where they started in the Pilot.
Also because it was shot in Paris too, the images were just breathtaking!
June 5th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
I love the end of the finale, it makes me cry every time. Another epidode I love is “I Heart NY,” where Miranda has Brady and Big moves to Napa.
June 5th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
My favorite moment is when she finally sees the closet that Big has designed for her. Now that was a moment!
June 5th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
My favorite episode has to be “They Shoot Single People Don’t They?” So many great lines & I don’t think there is a woman (single or not) that can’t relate to poor Carrie: “Single & Fabulous?”
June 5th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
I seriously cannot pick a favorite episode and I’m even having a hard time narrowing down my favorite moments… the post-it break up, the “people in glass houses should not throw melons”, etc. Enter me into the contest please!
June 5th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
My fav episode is when Carrie meets Big for lunch because they are trying to be friends! And they are having a great time and Big tells her that they are engaged! Carrie is drunk and goes off on Big! She handled it just the way I would have! Please I want this book for my coffee table!!
June 5th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
My all time favorite episode is when Samantha decides to shave off all of her hair because of her chemo treatments. It showed such vulnerability and initiative at the same time. She was scared but still wanted to have control of the situation. That episode convinced me that she was a strong woman through and through.
I’d love this book!!!
June 5th, 2008 at 5:58 pm
I saw the movie already, and my favorite part of it was when Carrie finally got out of her “Mexicoma” and Samantha was like “oh Carrie, you made a little joke!” hahah, so cute! The movie is so great, I don’t want to give a full review bc I don’t want to ruin it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, but let me just say, the story is as good as the clothes, shoes, and bags! It’s a must see!
June 5th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
I have to say my favorite character from the series is Charlotte. I just love her style!
June 5th, 2008 at 7:40 pm
I have two episodes that I adore for their representations of female friendship and their upbeat, silly natures: the episode when Carrie et al. are on Staten Island for an NYFD fundraiser (Carrie meets the politician, Samantha goes home with a giant firefighter) and the episode when Samantha moves into the meat packing district, fights with her neighbors, and the girls end up at a roof party with hot trannies.
June 5th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
I love the episode about “Single and Fabulous?” question mark! I haven’t seen the movie yet, but am so excited!!
June 5th, 2008 at 11:23 pm
“you’re moving to paris with a russkie?”
“you’re the loves of her life, and a guy would be lucky to come in fourth.”
“go get our girl.”
an american girl in paris (part une) is the perfect beginning to the end and one of the most emotional and touching episodes of sex and the city. big finally realized and admitted that carrie is the one…
definitely one of my favorite episodes of the series.
June 6th, 2008 at 2:03 am
My favorite episode was the final final episode of SATC when Carrie met Big in Paris.
For the movie, I was so emotional when Carrie & Big finally got married in City Hall.
June 6th, 2008 at 2:11 am
I love Charlotte’s style! It’s so effortlessly classic.
June 6th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
My favorite episode was “The Real Me.” Carrie being “the modeliest of the regular people” and wiping out on the catwalk was hilarous and endearing. I will admit to playing “To Be Real” very loudly in my condo after watching the episode, too.
June 6th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
The break-up w/Berger on the post-it note!
June 6th, 2008 at 2:04 pm
My favourite is the finale when she looks up and sees Big walking in while she’s crouched on the floor trying to pick up the diamonds
June 6th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
My favorite episode was the one with Tatum O’Neal when Carrie’s Mahnolos were stolen at her party. Carrie registers at the store for a replacement pair…..after having bought a wedding shower gift, baby shower gift, etc. etc.
As a single, childless woman, I relate.
June 6th, 2008 at 2:40 pm
I’d have to say my favorite episode is Ghost Town when Carrie runs into Aiden at Scout… Second favorite is when Big decides to leave NYC.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
I loved the movie. The clothes, the makeup, the shoes! One of my favorite episodes is when Carrie gets her shoes stolen at the baby shower and then registers herself for gifts, namely those shoes.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
my fav episode is when carrie fake faints in lincoln center with the russian. that pick dress was amazing. i always wished that someone would sweep me off my feet.. but the show made me realize that you have to be careful what u wish for. sometimes all that stuff can get a little heavy and end up being unreal.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
I loved either the very last or second to last episode when Miranda was having a tough time accepting the fact that Carrie was moving to Paris. Miranda knew how desperately she was going to miss her, yet Carrie knew in her heart that maybe it wasn’t going to work out with Aleksandr, yet she had to stand her ground with her friends. And in the end the girlfriends will always be there for you to help you pick up the pieces and not judge you.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
I got an error submitting this last time so I hope it doesn’t go thru twice. It was one of the last shows and Carrie was moving to Paris with Aleksandr and Miranda didn’t want her to go because she knew she would miss her, more than knowing Carrie was making a wrong decision. Yet Carrie had to go, and in the end it didn’t work out, yet her true friends took her back without judging her.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
I went shopping the other day and 5 different ladies approched me about my Capaf Fish purse. Apparently Miranda carries one in the new Movie. They all wanted to know where I got it and who it was by. Your book should be a great success because women want what was in the movie. I don’t think the purse is still available, except maybe on eBay.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
oh i have so many favorite episodes! i love the episode where carrie loses her shoes, because she had to take them off, and since her friend was so ungracious about replacing them, she decides to register herself saying she was getting married to herself, and her friend gets them for her. classic!
i also love the episode when charlotte meets harry and she finds him “disgusting” but they have great sex. she doesn’t think he’s right for her, but decides, after talking with anthony, that her relationship with harry should be “just sex”.
every episode is great, i’ve seen them all numerous times…they never get old!
June 6th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
What I adored about the movie was the lesson learned. You always end up exactly where you are suppose to be…Carrie knew instinctively that her vintage suit would be perfect for her wedding to Big, but she allowed others the influence her…taking her from her true reality. In the end, she wore the suit at city hall and married Big and on top of that Big still understood that her girls are the true loves of her life! Perfection.
June 6th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Charlotte is my favorite character. She is absolutely nothing like me! I love that she is the way she is and isn’t really influenced by her friends, yet she fits with them so well. And I really love Harry!
June 6th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
Charlotte is my favorite character and she turned out to be the true winner in the end. She got everything she wanted and she pretty much kept it traditional and conservative. I love her. She was so strong for Carrie, too. I wish there had been more about her and Harry in the movie (I LOVE Harry). One of my favorite episodes is when Charlotte’s divorce is being finalized and Harry takes her to see a friend’s bachelor pad. He confesses his love for her and she says (in true Charlotte form) “don’t be silly, I’m wearing my glasses!” Another of my favorite lines from Charlotte is when she says in exasperation “I’ve been dating since I was 15 years old, where is he!” Although I’m still looking for my Harry, I’m confident that if I stay the course and never give up on love, I’ll find him too.
June 6th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
My favorite episode was when the girls had to take the vibrator away from Charlotte! That was so funny.
June 6th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
I just saw the movie last night and it did not disappoint one bit! The fashion, the interior design, the characters, the story line, the wittiness, the life situations all made the film so satisfying to the eye, the heart, and the soul.
June 6th, 2008 at 9:33 pm
Guys, you’re killing me! MURDER IN THE FIRST. I cannot WAIT to see the movie! Sigh!!!
xoxoxox, felicia
June 6th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
My favorite episode is “I Heart NY” when Big and Carrie dance to ‘Moon River’ and Miranda has Brady.
June 6th, 2008 at 11:45 pm
My favorite episode is when carrie and samantha hop on that train to go to san francisco for a book reading. Hilarius!!! My favorite character is carrie because i love love love her style! I saw the movie on the day it came out and i loved it so much!! i would see it again and maybe i will!
June 8th, 2008 at 11:14 am
trying to pick a favorite SATC episode is like asking a mother to choose between her children.
June 8th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
I loved the whole series, SATC but one of my favorite episodes is “Running with Scissors”. Such drama and I love the shoes Carrie has on at the hospital leaving Big. I just saw the movie yesterday and it satisfied my obsession with these 4 ladies. I want more but I don’t think a sequel would be fitting. I will just have to see the movie again, promptly!
June 8th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this fabulous series? I absolutely loved, loved every episode (I can’t possibly pick a favorite) and the movie was just complete icing on the cake.
From the series the phrase “fashion road kill” comes to mind. Now how can you not die from laughter, yet cry from embarrassment for Carrie after seeing that?
And that fabulous slate grey confection of a dress that Carrie wore in Paris the night the Russian stood her up?
The movie wrapped things up nicely. I still don’t believe Smith let Samantha go that easily. And I seriously would NOT have left him.
Samantha had the best wardrobe in the movie IMO. I LOVED how they styled Miranda’s hair. Especially at the wedding. That back feathering they did was absolutely stunning.
OMG, I could go on & on…
Suffice to say, I’m a true fan. I would love a copy of the book. *Crossing fingers*
June 8th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Oh well, guess I’m too late for the book. *Sigh*
June 9th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
Reading over these comments is bringing back so many memories and making me a bit sentimental! I do miss this show…I spent many weekends after a terrible breakup holed up in my cozy apartment, nursing a broken heart, and laughing/crying with SATC dvds, pizza, and a bottle of wine. Many of the episodes made me feel like it was okay to be 30 and single…a message I didn’t feel like I was getting from most of dominant society at that time. I love the season when Carrie and Aidan got together a second time (season 4?) - and I even love it that, in the end, Carrie chose not to marry him because she wasn’t ready to be married. I can’t wait to see the movie!
June 11th, 2008 at 2:47 am
saw the movie, loved it - my friends and i cried til the end and couldn’t stop crying even as we left the theater. lol
June 13th, 2008 at 2:34 am
i had the worst feeling in my stomache when carrie is in paris and big drives straight by her without noticing, however their reuniting at the end made it all worth while. deffinately the best part of the whole six seasons.
oh and the dress in the second lass episode she falls asleep in waiting is the most gorgeous thing ever made.
the worst however was her running out of the wedding when big doesn’t show. i had tears running down my face.
