if there could be a single thing worth wanting…it would be this
Coffee, cushioned seats, packets of blackberry preserves, soft drinks, real sugar & conversation. Because at the end of the day, our most memorable moments, the ones we carry, are those days spent in nondescript restaurants (possibly in Long Island or Taipei, but who’s to tell), passing time, trading words. Having conversations. The kind where you finish one another’s sentences. The kind where you can share a comfortable silence. The kind where a single word can evoke laughter or tears. And the kind where plans are hatched.
What are we still doing here? she asks. We’re laying down plans, I say. Buying time.

This made me miss my best friend so much I emailed it to her.
She’s in your city, I am on the West Coast. I wish we could meet in the coffee shop down the street.
Lovely, thank you!

What a wonderful thought and description! This makes me miss Tea, on the left coast. Those are the best moments in life and it’s funny to think of the things/objects/foods that facilitate those moments.
