weekend tasting…
i live for bake sales, baking, a rolling pin and ribbons of sweet buttered cream. if you can imagine life without a cookie, i can’t understand you. you must be speaking in tongues. anyway, when the lovely jasmin sent over a link to the Best Bake Sale Ever Cookbook, i nearly spit out my synergy raw organic tea (more on this later). Clearly all of my other bake sale books are inferior (except Martha, of course, whom we love very dearly). once I’m out from under my cookbook purchasing freeze, consider this in my crib. me licking the cover. oh, don’t judge. you’d do it too.
jeff is the purveryor of good links and he’s been sending them on like there’s no tomorrow. my response: jeff, please continue to BRING IT. for type a people such as myself, i fell in love with LifeDev. It purports itself to be the site which will help maximize your productivity and help you get the job done. and jeff also gives me yet another reason why i should never leave brooklyn on the weekends.
just when i thought i had my fill of food writing (nigel slater, betty crocker, oh my!), rachel has been gushing about Alone in the Kitchen with an Eggplant and my interest is piqued. who doesn’t want to read cooking for one essays? who doesn’t want a book with a goddamn aubergine on the cover??!! and why not feast your eyes on this perfect (perfection!) recipe?!
when i have my little house in maine, i’ll be sure to re-read through all of erinn’s posts.
