dimestore luxe: boots mediterranean almond, pistachio & milk body butter
Let’s face it, a trip to your local drugstore can rob you blind. Leaving you on the pavement shivering, confused and afraid. You pile your moisturizer, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, your essentials, in a cart, blithely unaware of the fact that come checkout you’re about to sign over your 401K. Long gone are the days of the drugstore as a haven for the frugal, rather they’re going luxe by offering customized skin care stations and sumptuous hand creams with accompanying price tags, which you make you wonder if you’ve stumbled into a department store instead of a place that sells Mr. Clean.
Don’t get me wrong — I love me a $30 shea body butter, but no one needs to spend a MILLION DOLLARS at Rite Aid. No one needs this nonsense in their life. So on my quest to bring you efficacious products that won’t break the proverbial piggy, I’m delighted to share my latest fab find: Boots Mediterranean Body Butter, Almond, Pistachio & Milk ($7.49). As temperature tumble, this rich crème is perfection for parched skin. Formulated with uber-conditioning pistachio and almond oils (remember my rapture over the Laura Mercier Pistachio Souffle? Consider this its budget cousin), shea butter and milk extract, even rough skin will feel moisturized and softened. The scent is neither heady or overwhelming, but subtle and clean.
So breeze by the haute body butters in favor of this deluxe, affordable option.
Full Disclosure: The kind folks at Boots sent over a sample for potential feature/review.

I really like this brand. This is one of the few cosmetic lines that are consistently affordable and good quality.

Kathleen,
I do, as well. I received a few body washes and butters that are delicious. I did sample their scrub, which, will luxe wasn’t as delicious as I would have liked. I only used it once, but if you’re keen on getting a new scrub and that doesn’t creep you out, I’d be willing to send it to you
Cheers, Felicia
