snag this now: body shop tea tree blemish fade night lotion

When my friend Sarah espoused on the glories that were tea tree for combination skin, I thought she’d been hitting the pipe. While I was prepared to apply the calming oil to my parched strands and body, I hadn’t conceived of it as weapon against my Exxon forehead situation, an Agent Orange for breakouts. And after two uses, I’ve determined thus: clearly, I was hitting the pipe for not living the dream that was tea tree sooner.

Believe me when I say that I’m having a Body Shop renaissance, for every product I’ve been sampling has knocked the socks right off my feet. The Blemish Fade Night Lotion ($18) not only rids your complexion of the occasional blemish, but it serves as a cooling, anti-inflammatory agent for sensitive skin. Formulated with lemon tea tree and Community Trade tea tree oil from Kenya (curbs breakouts), and Tamanu oil from Madagascar (calms irritation and redness), you’ll wake with refreshed, clear skin. Note that this isn’t a product for someone with acne, rather this is a sensational spot-treatment. OBVI, this is now a nightstand mainstay!

Full disclosure: The kind folks over at Body Shop provided me a sample for potential feature/review.

I’ve been using this for a while now. I love it! The only word of caution is that it can really dry out your skin if you have normal to dry skin and use it nightly. I’ve switched to using it a couple of times per week and it is perfect now!

Does the night lotion really fade blemishes? I tried a sample of Tea Tree cleanser, it was ok.

  3. Felicia Says:

Mariels – Thanks for the note! I’m not sure if the cleanser would alleviate blemishes, as I haven’t tried it. However, I did sample the Tea Tree oil twice (on spot treatments, as I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who has acne), and it worked. Hope that helps!

Absolutely! I wouldn’t likely use it on too-dry skin (I have combination and it works just fine). Persagel is always an amazing, affordable option as well.
